Opposite the high-rise buildings, there is a tailings pond. A yellow wasteland, a landscape covered with faded, yellowish dust. In the background of the chimneys, next to the mountain range, you can see the town: Jelšava. A town where history persists, because nothing new has come. The work focuses on the environmental recklessness of the construction enthusiasm, which has unprecedented implications up to the present day. Despite the health of people and the adjacent nature, fulfilling economic plans has always been a national priority. The Jelšava Magnesite plant is a clear testament to the construction efforts. Against the backdrop of the recent history of the Magnesite plant in Jelšava, the fate of a city is revealed, which was almost depopulated after an ecological disaster and continues to deteriorate.
